Show customers their tint shade before you cut a single sheet of film

Photograph the vehicle. Makeover generates a photorealistic tint preview at any VLT percentage in under 10 seconds — ceramic, carbon, or dyed, on the customer's actual glass, not a sample chip under fluorescent light. They pick their shade before you unroll a single sheet of film.

What is a window tint preview preview?

A window tint preview tool uses AI to generate a photorealistic image of a vehicle with tint film applied at a specific VLT (visible light transmission) percentage. The shop photographs the customer's actual vehicle, and the tool renders the chosen shade and film type — ceramic, carbon, or dyed — directly onto that vehicle's glass, not a generic sample car. Tint shops and mobile installers use it at the counter to settle the shade decision and close the job before the customer leaves to "compare quotes" elsewhere.

Why it matters

A full-vehicle tint job runs anywhere from roughly $150 for economy dyed film on a sedan to $600–$900+ for premium ceramic on a truck or SUV with a lot of glass — a wide enough range that customers shop it around. The friction isn't awareness; nearly every customer at the counter already wants tint. It's that they can't picture 20% versus 35%, or a purple-tinged dye job versus neutral ceramic, from a sample chip and a price sheet. Shops that resolve that decision on the spot write the ticket same-visit; shops that send customers home with a swatch card watch them get three more quotes and never come back.

Who uses this

Tint shop counter staff and estimators quoting walk-ins on the spot. Mobile tint installers running the preview curbside or in a customer's driveway before they've even opened a roll of film. Dealership service and F&I departments upselling tint packages at new-vehicle delivery. PPF and wrap shops bundling tint into a full protection package alongside paint correction and clear bra.

Heard this from a customer?

01

Customers hold a two-inch sample chip up to the window under shop fluorescents and still can't tell 20% from 35% on their own black-on-black SUV, so they leave to "think about it."

02

They ask if going darker up front will get them pulled over, and you're reciting your state's VLT statute from memory instead of showing them a compliant option next to the one they actually want.

03

Their last car had cheap dyed film that bubbled and turned purple within two years, so "trust me, ceramic looks different" doesn't close the upsell anymore — they want to see it, not hear it.

How window tint preview previews work

Three steps. Under 10 seconds. No design skills needed.

01

Photograph the vehicle

Any angle, any lighting — on the lot, in the bay, or curbside for mobile installs. The customer's actual car, truck, or SUV, not a stock reference vehicle.

02

AI generates the tint preview

The model applies the chosen VLT percentage and film type — ceramic, carbon, or dyed — to the vehicle's actual glass, panel by panel, front doors to back glass.

03

Present it at the counter

Their own vehicle, shade by shade, before you write the ticket. The decision happens while they're standing in your shop, not after they've collected two more quotes.
