Show clients their new hairline before you pick up the machine

Photograph the current hairline and part. AI generates a photorealistic hair-stroke preview in seconds — the client sees the exact shape, density, and pigment tone on their own scalp, not a reference photo of somebody else's edge.

What is a hairline tattoo preview preview?

A hairline tattoo preview tool uses AI to show what a client's hairline will look like after scalp micropigmentation or hair-stroke pigment implantation at the frontal edge. The artist photographs the client's current hairline and part, and the tool generates a photorealistic preview of the redesigned edge — shape, density, and pigment tone matched to the client's actual hair color and texture. PMU studios and scalp micropigmentation specialists use this at the consultation table to confirm the exact hairline before the first pass with the machine.

Why it matters

Hairline work runs roughly $600–$2,000 for the initial session plus a touch-up 4–8 weeks later, once the pigment has healed and settled to its true tone. It's also the hardest cosmetic tattoo work to walk back — laser removal on a dense edge line is slow, expensive, and can leave its own scarring or a ghosted halo where pigment used to be. Clients understand microblading a brow they can tweeze or grow out; a hairline is a different decision, because it frames the whole face and a wrong shape or density doesn't fix itself. A preview that lets them approve the exact edge before the needle touches skin is what turns a "let me think about it" consultation into a booked session.

Who uses this

PMU artists who've added hairline and edge work to a microblading or ombre brow practice, standalone scalp micropigmentation studios, and cosmetic tattoo artists doing scar camouflage for hair transplant or traction alopecia clients. It's used at the consultation table, before the client is ever in the chair for the actual pigment session.

Heard this from a hairline client?

01

She's worried the strokes will look like a straight wig line against her natural curl pattern, so she books a consultation and never books the actual session.

02

He wants his hairline lowered and filled in, but a hairline is the frame of the whole face — if the shape is wrong, he can't just grow it out and try again next month like a bad haircut.

03

She's covering thinning at the edges from years of tight braids and needs to see that the pigment will actually match her hair color — not sit there flat and dark while everything around it changes.

How hairline tattoo preview previews work

Three steps. Under 10 seconds. No design skills needed.

01

Photograph the hairline and part

One photo of the current edge, temples, and part under normal studio lighting. No special imaging equipment — the same setup you'd use for a before-and-after shot.

02

AI generates the stroke-by-stroke preview

The model renders the redesigned hairline — shape, density, and stroke direction — with pigment tone matched to the client's real hair color and texture.

03

Walk through the design at the table

The client approves the exact shape and density on their own face before you open a needle cartridge. No mid-session redesign, no post-heal surprise.
